The Sakura Festival is taking place at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre on May 11, 2024.
The event celebrates Burlington’s twin city partnership with Itabashi, Japan, and will feature a number of performances and activities.
You can enjoy face painting, a karate demonstration, artwork, dance performances and more.
The festival takes place right by Spencer Smith Park, where you can step into a cherry blossom oasis. They park is home to a blossom-lined trail and you can wander beneath a canopy of pink while taking in some lake views.
Also on May 11, the Burlington Performing Arts Centre will host the Canada Netherlands Friendship Day event to celebrate Burlington’s twin city partnership with Apeldoorn. The event begins at 10 a.m.
