Two people dead after Burlington collision

A man and a woman have died following a single-vehicle collision in Burlington overnight.

Halton police said it happened just before 1 a.m.

Police, firefighters, and paramedics responded to the crash at Guelph Line and Lowville Park Road.

Firefighters extricated two people from the vehicle, according to reports from the scene.

Reports also indicate that a dog died in the collision as well.

Images from the scene show a badly damaged vehicle lying crumpled on the side of the road.

No further details have been released so far about the identity of the people who died.

It’s not yet clear what caused the crash.
