Mid-Autumn Festival is here. These are 4 must-try mooncakes in the GTA for the occasion

Before we dive into pumpkin spice season, let’s first celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. This annual holiday, observed on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month — this year, Sept. 17 — honours the full moon and the mid-autumn harvest in Chinese and Southeast Asian cultures. The occasion is marked by lighting lanterns and, of course, mooncakes. There are dozens of options to choose from across the GTA, from local bakeries to fancy overseas imports. Here are four of my favourites.
