A man has died after an altercation in Etobicoke Thursday morning, police say.
The incident happened around 6:04 a.m. in the area of Lake Shore Boulevard W. and Islington Avenue, police say.
In posts on X, formerly Twitter, investigators said they received reports of an altercation between a group of people in the area.
Toronto paramedics told CBC Toronto they responded to the area for a possible stabbing and transported one person to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police later reported the man was pronounced dead in hospital.
Investigators are reporting road closures in the area and asking people to consider alternate routes.
