Pedestrian dead after 2 cars collide in west end

A female pedestrian is dead after two cars collided in the west end on Monday night, Toronto police say.

The collision happened in the area of Annette Street and Pacific Avenue, near Dundas Street W. and Keele Street. 

Police said the collision sent one car crashing into at least one pedestrian.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A third suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital, while a fourth is still being assessed, according to Toronto paramedics.

Roads in the area are closed as officers investigate.

Annette Street eastbound is closed at High Park Avenue, while Annette Street westbound is closed at Pacific Avenue. Northbound Pacific Avenue is closed at Humberside Avenue.
