A woman is in life-threatening condition and three children were injured after they were struck by a vehicle in Etobicoke on Wednesday, Toronto police say.
The woman suffered critical injuries, while the children, ages four years, one year, and one month, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Paramedics said the woman and children were all taken to a trauma centre for treatment.
The collision happened at Islington and Orrell avenues, north of Dundas Street W. Officers were initially called to the scene at about 6:10 p.m.
The driver, a 76-year-old woman, was turning southbound onto Islington at the time of the collision, according to Duty Insp. Scott Shutt.
She remained on the scene and spoke to investigators, Shutt said.
Police have spoke to several witnesses but are appealing for anyone else who saw the collision or has dashcam video to contact traffic services.
