Toronto man charged in death of jazz musician struck by driver in Junction collision

The man, who Toronto police have not named, has been charged with one count of careless driving causing death and two counts of careless driving causing bodily harm.

Just after 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, police were called after a blue 2024 Hyundai Elantra being driven north on Pacific Avenue reportedly struck a 34-year-old woman driving a grey 2017 Hyundai Tucson west on Annette Street. As a result of the crash, the Tucson was redirected onto the northwest corner of the intersection and hit two pedestrians, police said after the crash.
