OPP arrest suspect in wild double carjacking of rideshare vehicle

A 22-year-old man who allegedly stole his rideshare driver’s vehicle, crashed it, then stole another vehicle was arrested Sunday evening in Mississauga.

The rideshare driver first called Ontario Provincial Police around 5:20 p.m. to report a passenger who had made a threat towards another person. When the vehicle was stopped by officers on the QEW in Mississauga, the driver left the vehicle — and the man got into the driver’s seat and sped away.
