‘This won’t slow us down’: Crypto CEO safe after brazen rush-hour kidnapping in downtown Toronto

A Canadian cryptocurrency CEO says he is “safe and doing well” after he was reportedly forced into a car in downtown Toronto at rush hour and held for ransom on Wednesday.

“This won’t slow us down,” Dean Skurka, CEO of the Toronto-based crypto trading platform WonderFi Technologies, said in a statement posted to X and LinkedIn.
