‘This is pure democracy in action’: Toronto eyes letting 16-year-olds vote in neighbourhood polls

Younger teenagers in Toronto may soon get a bigger say in where the city puts bike lanes, speed bumps and outdoor patios. 

City council voted Wednesday to ask staff to come up with a plan on how to reduce the minimum age to vote in neighbourhood polls from 18 to 16 as early as next March.
