A Toronto family doctor gave up his licence and promised never to reapply just before a discipline panel found Friday he drugged a nurse’s food and drink at his North York clinic and left her in the basement while he continued to see patients.
Dr. Shahab Nahvi, who also had privileges at Scarborough Centenary Hospital, even drugged himself with Rohypnol — the notorious sedative drug, nicknamed “roofies” — to cast suspicion elsewhere after being interviewed by police about the incident in May 2021, the five-member discipline panel was told.
