Toronto’s magical new Christmas market has a Scandinavian-inspired bar and winter train rides

Toronto is getting a new Christmas market and it’s full of festive cheer. If you’re looking for something unique to enjoy this holiday season, you’ll want to head to this magical spot.

Winterfest Toronto is a new holiday market by Street Eats Market taking place at the Harbourfront Centre from November 29, 2024 to January 5, 2025. According to the website, it’s the city’s “largest new winter experience.”

The event offers tons of Christmas magic, and you can enjoy things like twinkling lights, a sparkling walk-in tree, cozy drinks and more.

At the Marketplace, you’ll find all sorts of local art and craft items for your gifting needs. You can also head to the Vendor Lane, which features a “magically lit pathway of trees” dotted with vendors and food trucks, according to the Harbourfront Centre.

There’s also The Ullr House — a Scandinavian-inspired indoor/outdoor bar where you can sip hot cups of gløgg (mulled wine) and enjoy other tasty treats.

You can warm up by the open-air fire pits and even toast some gooey s’mores, as well as buy a Christmas tree from the urban tree lot.

On November 29, you can watch the 33-foot Christmas tree sparkle at the tree lighting ceremony.

Other highlights of Winterfest Toronto include Winter Express Train Rides, festive treats, a donut festival, hot chocolate festival, selfie stations and Santa’s mailbox.

The Harbourfront is also bringing back its ice rink on December 21 withcomplimentary skate rentals and DJ Skate Nights on Saturdays.
