17-year-old dead in single-vehicle collision in Milton, police say

A teen boy is dead after his vehicle collided with a hydro pole in Milton, Ont., Saturday afternoon, Halton police say. 

Police say the collision happened just after 1 p.m. 

A 2005 Honda Civic driven by a 17-year-old boy was heading south on Nassagewa Line when it lost control and struck a hydro pole, says a news release. 

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say he was the vehicle’s sole occupant and no one else was injured in the crash.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
