On summer weekends, the devoted begin showing up at dawn at Woodbine Beach and Ashbridge’s Bay, trailing wagons packed with coolers, kids, nets and volleyballs, eager to spend the day at the scenic courts in the deep, soft sand on the shore of the lake that looks like an ocean.
