Pedestrian injured in Mississauga hit-and-run

One person has been rushed to a hospital after they were struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run in Mississauga.

Peel Regional Police (PRP) officers were called to the Hurontario Street and Britannia Road East area just before 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

Police say a pedestrian was hit by the driver of a vehicle, who fled the scene. The extent of their injuries is unclear, and a vehicle description was not provided.

Britannia Road East is closed from Hurontario Street and Whittle Road for the investigation.
