‘I pulled the cat out and everyone gasped’: Toronto strangers band together to rescue woman’s cat from underneath streetcar

Madison Millar was commuting to work Friday afternoon when she frantically started screaming at the driver of the 504 King streetcar to stop.

Before she knew it, she outside in the cold on her hands and knees, orchestrating a 20-minute rescue operation for a cat that darted under the streetcar at King Street West and Blue Jays Way around 4 p.m.
