A delivery truck driver has suffered life-threatening injuries after a three-vehicle crash on the southbound Highway 400 near Sheppard Avenue late Wednesday morning.
OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said all southbound lanes of the highway at Finch Avenue are closed and will likely remain closed for the next several hours.
The crash occurred just before noon.
“A tractor-trailer and a pickup truck were slowing due to congestion,” Schmidt explained in a video posted to social media.
“A delivery truck collided into the back of the tractor-trailer which pushed it into the pickup truck. The driver of that delivery truck has been taken to hospital with serious and life-threatening injuries.”

There’s no word on possible charges at this point. The OPP is asking any potential witnesses to contact them.
