An intersection in Vaughan has been shut down and one person has been taken to hospital following a collision, police say.
York Regional Police said in a post on X around 1:45 p.m. Sunday that the intersection of Dufferin Street and Major Mackenzie Drive West is closed in all directions.
YRP told CTV News Toronto that a passenger was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries after emergency crews were called to the scene around 1:17 p.m.
Further details about the collision were not immediately available.
The major collision unit is looking into the crash.
The intersection is expected to remain closed for some time as police investigate.
