Environment Canada has ended a winter weather travel advisory that covered much of the GTA on Tuesday night.
Between five and 10 centimetres of snow were expected to accumulate after an Alberta clipper system moved into the region, the federal weather agency said.
The TTC temporarily took 56 bus stops out of service due to messy conditions on city roads, but regular service had resumed as of Wednesday morning.
A high of 1 C is expected Wednesday, with temperatures falling to –6 C by the afternoon.
Meanwhile, a vast swath of the province east of Lake Huron remained under a snow squall warning, with up to 25 centimetres of snowfall forecast for some areas.
