Man, 73, dead after motorcycle crash in Kawartha Lakes: OPP

Ontario Provinicial Police say a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Kawartha Lakes on Saturday has left a 73-year-old man dead.

A man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Kawartha Lakes on Saturday, Ontario Provinicial Police say.

Emergency crews were called to a single-vehicle collision on Mount Horeb Road, near Lilac Road, shortly before 1:40 p.m., according to a news release Saturday.

The driver of the motorcycle — a 73-year-old man of Pontypool, Ont., — was taken to hospital where he died.

The cause of the collision is being investigated, the release said.

Roads in the area were temporarily closed Saturday.

Anyone who may have witnessed or has Dashcam footage of the collision is asked to contact OPP.
