A low-cost airline is offering cheap flights from Toronto to Europe this summer, and you won’t want to miss out on these deals.
Play Airlines is having a sale on flights from Toronto to several European cities, and you can find fares for less than $250 one-way.
The budget airline, which began operating flights in Canada in 2023 and is based in Iceland, is having a May flash sale with discounted airfare to many European cities, including Amsterdam, Brussels, Copenhagen, Dublin, Gothenburg, Hamburg, London, Paris, Stockholm, and Reykjavik, Iceland.
From May 8 to 15, 2024, travellers can get 25% off the airline’s already low-cost airfare, on new online bookings when booking round-trip flights.
The offer applies to travel between June and December 2024, meaning you can book a summer trip to Europe or visit in the fall or winter.
Play, which flies out of John C. Munro Airport in Hamilton, operates with a “no frills” approach to flying, meaning that instead of having the cost of things like food and entertainment worked into the price of your ticket, travellers can pay for what they want and allocate more money towards their trip.
This means that travellers can often find significantly cheaper airfare when booking with Play, compared to other major Canadian airlines, like Air Canada or WestJet.
With the promotion, you can get roundtrip airfare from Toronto to Paris for just $536 in June, or travel from Toronto to London for $704 roundtrip.
Travellers also have the option of adding a stopover in Iceland to their itinerary. Play’s transatlantic flights include a brief layover in Iceland, which is typically an hour. However, if you want to get out and explore the country, you can add a stopover of up to 10 days in the country to your flights.
A “stayover,” in Iceland, as the airline calls it, is available when booking transatlantic flights. You can add it to your outbound journey, return journey, or both!
The best part is, the stopover comes at no additional cost, meaning you can visit two European countries for the price of one.
Play’s flash sale ends May 15, 2024, at midnight, and no code is needed to get the discounted fares. The sale is first come, first served, so don’t delay on snagging a deal!
