Power outage affecting parts of downtown

Parts of downtown Toronto are without power Wednesday, including the Distillery District and Regent Park.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Toronto Hydro said workers are currently trying to fix the outage.

“Crews are on site working as quickly and safely as possible to restore power to all affected customers,” the post reads. “We appreciate everyone’s patience.”

The Toronto Hydro website shows the outage is affecting more than 5,000 customers and, as of late Wednesday morning, had an estimated restoration time of 5:20 p.m.
