Illegal fireworks on Monday evening in Christie Pits Park caused police to clear hundreds of people from the park, and temporarily halt TTC service in the area.
About 700 people were gathered to enjoy the weather on a busy evening in the park, according to police, when people began to “sporadically set off fireworks” after the sun set.
