McMaster encampment over after protesters vote to accept university’s offer

An encampment in solidarity with Palestinian human rights on the McMaster University campus is coming to an end after key demands for transparency, collaboration and communication have been met.

About 100 demonstrators at the encampment voted in a secret ballot Friday to accept the offer from McMaster and remove the encampment outside of the Burke Science Building over the weekend. They also agreed there will be no further encampments or disruptions to university business, including convocations.
