‘Best mayor ever’: Eight years after his death, city council officially unveils Rob Ford Stadium in Centennial Park

Toronto now has a permanent tribute to Rob Ford — a namesake stadium at Centennial Park where the controversial former mayor often coached high school football.

Premier Doug Ford, speaking to relatives, city council members and hundreds of fans on his late brother’s 55th birthday, became emotional at the “Rob Ford Stadium” naming ceremony.
