The province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has charged a Toronto police with one count of assault after it launched an investigation into a July 2020 arrest.
The SIU says it has “reasonable grounds” to believe a Toronto police officer, Const. Alain Arakaza, allegedly committed a criminal offence when arresting a man on July 21, 2020 in North York.
