The tentative agreement the TTC reached with its largest union late Thursday night offers workers a wage increase of more than 13 per cent and would curb plans to let transit agencies from the 905 operate Toronto bus routes, the Star has learned.
The last-minute agreement between the TTC and Amalgamated Transit Union Local 113 averted a work stoppage that would have shut down the transit network, and was announced moments before the union’s midnight strike deadline.
