The Queen Elizabeth Way is likely to be closed in both directions in Mississauga until mid-afternoon Tuesday, after a dump truck with its bin up hit a pedestrian bridge.
Provincial police say the collision happened around 8 a.m. The bridge is under construction and no injuries were reported.
All lanes of the QEW are expected to be closed between Cawthra and Dixie roads until about 2 p.m. as a crew works to safely remove the truck from the roadway, police said.
Toronto-bound traffic is being rerouted onto Cawthra, while Fort Erie-bound drivers are being diverted onto Dixie, police said.
Peel police also closed South Service Road in both directions, while North Service Road is closed to westbound drivers at Stanfield Road.
