This new bus from Toronto takes you to one of the ‘most charming’ small towns in Canada

You don’t need a car in order to experience the magic of this Ontario summer destination. A new bus service from Toronto will take you to one of the “most charming” small towns in Canada and it’s an incredible spot for a warm-weather getaway.

The recently-launched route takes just over three hours from Toronto’s Union Station and also stops at Pearson International Airport along the way.

The destination offers sparkling water views, cozy restaurants, quaint streets and tumbling waterfalls, making it an idyllic spot for a weekend escape.

Here’s what to know about the new route.

Low-cost bus service Flixbus is now offering a route from Toronto to Owen Sound. According to a press release from the City of Owen Sound, the route launched on May 30, 2024 and operates five days a week, Thursday to Monday.

Owen Sound was recently named one of the “most charming small towns in Canada” by online slots site Betway. The area is home to some stunning waterfalls, which include the majestic Inglis Falls and the hidden Jones Falls.

“FlixBus is so pleased to offer this new service between Owen Sound and Toronto. Owen Sound is a beautiful destination known for its waterfalls, and our goal is to ensure people from Toronto and beyond can appreciate what Owen Sound offers,” Richard Szeri, Senior Manager of Network Planning for FlixBus said in the press release.

The northbound and southbound routes also include stops at Meaford, Collingwood, and Barrie.

Ticket prices start at $33.99 one-way, so if you fancy a visit to one of Canada’s “most charming” small towns, you’ll want to make some reservations.
