Man dead after North York shooting

A man is dead after a shooting in North York late Monday, Toronto police say.

The shooting happened shortly before midnight in the area of Jane Street and Falstaff Avenue.

Responding officers found the victim with injuries. He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police did not immediately provide any further information about the victim. 

There was no suspect description available early Tuesday.
