Future of Toronto’s Revue Cinema in limbo after lease negotiations fail

The future of Revue Cinema, one of Toronto oldest operating independent cinemas, is on the line after its board was unable to renew the movie theatre’s lease. 

The news came Wednesday night after nine months of negotiations to renew the Roncesvalles Avenue landmark’s lease, which is set to expire Sunday, between Revue Cinema’s board of directors and the building’s landlord.
