6 dump trucks set on fire in Vaughan, Ont.

Six dump trucks were set on fire in Vaughan, Ont., Monday night and York police are looking for witnesses.

Around 11:50 p.m. Monday, York Regional Police say they responded to a fire at an industrial yard near the junction of highways 407 and 27.

Surveillance footage released by police Thursday shows one person walking around a parking lot at the yard, pouring liquid around the trucks and igniting it.

Police say when they arrived on the scene they found the six trucks “engulfed in flame.”

Vaughan Fire and Rescue Services extinguished the fire, police say, and no one was injured.

Police are asking anyone with information or video footage of the area around the time of the incident to come forward. Information can also be shared anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
