One person is dead after a motorcycle and an SUV collided in Mount Albert, Ont., on Monday, Ontario Provincial Police say.
The collision happened in the intersection of Highway 48 and Mount Albert Road at about 4:30 p.m., OPP said in a post on X. Mount Albert is 65 kilometres northeast of Toronto.
Police said a 51-year-old Stouffville, Ont., resident was pronounced dead at the scene.
Aurora’s OPP detachment has closed Highway 48 in both directions at Princess Street and Herald Road as officers investigate.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area.
