2 teens charged with murder in Parkdale shooting

Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with a shooting that killed a 16-year-old boy in Toronto’s west end earlier this week.

Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with a shooting that killed a 16-year-old boy in Toronto’s west end earlier this week.

Police responded to a call for the sound of gunshots Monday shortly after midnight at an apartment building in the area of King Street W. and Jameson Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found a boy suffering from gunshot wounds inside one of the units. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police previously identified the victim as Mohamed Doumbouya of Toronto.

On Thursday, police said two teen boys, aged 16 and 17, are now facing second-degree murder charges. The accused can’t be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

They were scheduled to appear in a Toronto court Thursday.
