An Alberta man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of 32-year-old Mohamud Abdi Duale last April, Toronto police say.

An Alberta man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of 32-year-old Mohamud Abdi Duale last April, Toronto police say.
Duale died on April 14 in northwest Toronto near Lawrence Avenue W. and Ralph Street, near Weston Road, according to police.
Officers had been called to the scene around 4:50 p.m. that day after a number of gunshots rang out, investigators said in a news release.
When police arrived, they found Duale with gunshot wounds and tried to save his life, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a news release issued Friday, police said that on Thursday, a 32-year-old Edmonton man was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
He was scheduled to appear in court Friday morning.
