A semi-detached home was badly damaged and a firefighter was injured by a blaze in the Davisville Village neighbourhood early Tuesday.

The fire at the residence on Taunton Road was first reported around 2 a.m. and intensified to three-alarms at its peak, according to Toronto Fire.

It spread to a neighbouring house to the south, while a third residence to the north had some damage from exposure to the flames.

A firefighter sustained minor burns and was taken to hospital for treatment, Toronto Fire said. No one else was injured.

A division commander who spoke to CBC Toronto at the scene said it was too early to say how the blaze may have started.
