Shelley Spence is set to speak with reporters at 11 a.m. ET at Queen’s Park to detail the findings of her latest review of government operations. The topics in the report include: the redevelopment of Ontario Place, how the government uses ministerial zoning orders, oversight of the province’s opioid strategy and more.

The controversial redevelopment of Ontario Place into a mega-spa will be among the topics covered in the latest report from the province’s auditor general Tuesday.

Shelley Spence is set to release her annual report around 10:30 a.m. ET.

CBC Toronto will have full coverage of the report and will livestream Spence’s Queen’s Park news conference at 11 a.m. ET. You’ll be able to watch live in this story.

Spence will be dropping a lot of information at once. Her office confirms the topics will include Ontario Place, as well as a review of how the Ford government has used ministerial zoning orders, how infrastructure projects are procured and delivered and how the province’s opioid strategy is working. 

The auditor’s annual report will also follow-up on previous recommendations that have been made to the government in the last five years.

Ontarians can also expect a review of government advertising.
