Ontario’s 4 major party leaders square off for 1st time at northern issues debate

Stiles, Crombie get 1st crack at Ford

It’s here, voters: the first debate of the Ontario election live from snowy North Bay.

It’s also the first time we see NDP Leader Marit Stiles and Liberal Leader Bonnie Crombie on a provincial debate stage.

Both will be looking to chip away at PC Leader Doug Ford’s lead in the snap election that he triggered a year early.

Green Party Leader Mike Schreiner – one of Ford’s sharpest critics in recent debates – will also be looking for a strong showing that could build support in Parry Sound–Muskoka, where his party is hoping to land a third seat.

We’ve got more debate tee-ups here, and we’ll be updating this story throughout the debate.
