A pedestrian is dead after a hit and run collision in Toronto’s west end early Thursday morning, police say. Toronto paramedics say a man was pronounced dead on scene.

A pedestrian is dead after a hit and run collision in Toronto’s west end early Thursday morning, police say. 

Police responded to a collision near Roncesvalles and Boustead avenues around 5:15 a.m., Toronto police said in a post on X.

Paramedics say a man was pronounced dead on scene. 

Parts of Roncesvalles Avenue near Dundas Street W. and Ritchie Avenue are closed, police say. They advise commuters to expect delays and consider alternate routes while they investigate.
