Peel police continued their search Friday morning for a missing three-year-old boy who they say is “vulnerable” and may be non-verbal.
The boy, named Zaid, was last seen in the area of Erindale Park at 6:20 p.m. Thursday.
He’s described as having a thin build, short dark afro, wearing a yellow shirt with red writing on it, black pants and no shoes or socks.
“We are actively working to locate the missing 3-year old child and our efforts will continue until we find him,” police said in an email.
Firefighters and paramedics both helped with the search overnight, but police have since taken over completely.
Images from the scene showed crews searching the Credit River, which flows through Erindale Park.
Anyone who sees the boy is asked to call 911 immediately.
