Police ask for help to ID man fatally struck by TTC bus near Ossington Station

Toronto police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man who died in hospital after he was hit by a TTC bus near Ossington Station.

In a news release Wednesday, police said the man was about 55 years old. They described him as Asian, five feet, four inches tall and about 176 pounds. He was wearing green camouflage pants, a dark-coloured winter jacket and a brown toque, according to police.

The man was struck shortly before 8:25 p.m. Tuesday. Police said he had just exited the subway station when he was pinned beneath a TTC bus turning right to go south on Ossington Avenue.

He was taken to a trauma centre, where he later died.

Police are asking anyone with information or video that could assist in their investigation to contact traffic services or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers.
