Police ask for public’s help to ID suspect in Brampton arson

Peel police are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate a suspect in an arson at a home in Brampton.

Fire caused ‘extensive damage’ to home, police said in a news release

Peel police are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate a suspect in an arson at a home in Brampton. 

In a news release Wednesday, police alleged the suspect started a fire at a house in the Autumn Ridge Drive area in the northern part of the city on June 11 at about 2:50 a.m. 

The fire caused “extensive damage” to the front door and windows of the home but no residents were injured, police said.

The suspect, who fled the area on a black bicycle, was last seen at the corner of Bramalea and Mayfield roads.

Investigators released an image of the person taken from security camera video.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Peel police or submit information anonymously via Crime Stoppers.
