Toronto police are asking for help in identifying a woman found dead inside a tent at a downtown park last month.
In a news release Wednesday, police said emergency services were called to Trinity Square Park, near Bay Street and Dundas Street W., at around 11:15 a.m. on May 29.
The cause of the woman’s death is still under investigation, police said.
She is described as white, between 40 and 60 years old, with blonde hair. She may have gone by the names Sherry or Cherry, according to police.
She also had a number of “distinctive” tattoos on her arm, forearm and palm of one hand, police said.
Investigators have released an artist’s sketch of the woman, as well as photos of some of her tattoos and an image of the boots she was wearing when she was found dead. All of those images can be viewed here.
Anyone with information that may help identify the woman is asked to contact Toronto police or to leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers.
