Teen cyclist airlifted to hospital after Ajax collision

A teenage cyclist has been airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a collision with a vehicle in Ajax, Durham police said Thursday.

A teenage cyclist has been airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a collision with a vehicle in Ajax, Durham police said Thursday.

Police said the collision happened around 7:35 a.m. on Rossland Road W., between Carter Bennett Drive and Ravenscroft Road. The area remains shut down for the investigation.

Police said the driver remained at the scene of the collision.
