A Toronto police officer has been stabbed and a suspect shot, according to Toronto police.

A Toronto police officer has been stabbed and a suspect shot, according to Toronto police.

According to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the incident happened near College Street and Lansdowne Avenue around 1:30 p.m.

In a statement, the Toronto Police Association told CBC Toronto the officer is conscious and breathing and was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The statement also says that a person was shot during an altercation and that person was taken to hospital. Police have not provided an update on the severity of the person’s injuries.
