A woman in her 20s is in life-threatening condition after being shot in the parking lot of a shopping mall in Vaughan on Tuesday, York Regional Police say.
Police said they were called to Vaughan Mills mall, near Highway 400 and Rutherford Road, at about 5:30 p.m.
When they arrived, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics took her to a trauma centre. Her current condition is not known.
A large area of the parking lot was taped off as officers investigated. The mall was not locked down.
Police said witnesses are urged to come forward. There’s no word on suspects.
