York police are seeking two suspects following a failed armed carjacking in Richmond Hill.
On Monday at approximately 8:20 p.m., police responded to calls for a carjacking in the area of Highway 7 East and Chalmers Road.
The victim was walking to his vehicle when he was approached by two male suspects who allegedly demanded the keys to his car. The victim attempted to run away and police say that one of the suspects sprayed a noxious substance, believed to be pepper spray, at him.
The suspects then fled westbound in a black sedan. The victim was not seriously injured.
The first suspect is described as a Black male, tall with a skinny build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black shoes and was carrying pepper spray.
The second suspect is described as a Black male, short with a thin build, wearing a white face mask, a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black shoes.
