Male youth suffers minor injuries after reports of possible drowning at Ashbridges Bay

Toronto paramedics have taken a male youth to hospital after reports of a possible drowning in the Ashbridges Bay area.

Emergency crews were called to the area around 6 p.m.

Fire crews say they are working with police to search for a person in the water, but the search ended at 8:45 p.m. Toronto Fire told CityNews they were unclear if the search ended because it got dark or if they had located someone.

Paramedics say they transported a youth to hospital with minor injuries and also treated and released an adult male on the scene.

There have been no further details released about the age of the person or the circumstances that led to the incident.
