A man in his 70s suffered life-threatening injuries after losing control of his vehicle and crashing into a tree in Scarborough, police said.
Officers were called to the Ellesmere Road and Military Trail area near Morningside Avenue just after 8 a.m. for reports of a collision.
Police received reports that a male driver crashed into a tree.
Paramedics tell CityNews that a man in his 70s suffered cardiac arrest, which may have contributed to the crash. It’s unclear if the medical episode was suffered before or after the collision.
The man was transported to a hospital in life-threatening condition.
Road closures are expected in the area as the investigation continues.
