Pedestrian taken to the hospital after being struck by TTC bus driver at Islington Station

A female pedestrian was taken to the hospital after being hit by the driver of a TTC bus on Friday afternoon, say paramedics.

The incident happened at Islington Subway Station around 2:45 p.m.

Paramedics told CTV News Toronto that they transported an adult female to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The circumstances surrounding this incident are not yet known.

Trains temporarily bypassed the station, however service on Line 2 has since resumed.

Buses are being redirected to Kipling Station as police investigate.

Motorists should expect delays in the area, say police.
